Hello from Sudbury in the great white north.  I've been working on a 1952 (registered) (doors and cab are more like a 1950) Chevy pickup for a couple of years now.  I bought all of the sheet metal from a friend who had the truck shipped from Saskatchewan about 10 years ago  It was supposed to be his retirement project with a Dodge 4x4 Diesel under the body.  He retired and decided it was not what he really wanted to spend his time (or money) on after all.  My plan is a little different.  So far, I am working on the ever popular S10 chassis with a 350  engine.  No shiny paint for this one either. Not now anyway.  The S10 chassis was sandblasted and shortened last summer and all new suspension parts added.  I am currently doing a transmission service (4L60e) and working on converting the wiring harness for a 411 ecm.  Yes I want all the electronics as that is what I have been doing and teaching for over 30 years.  The engine is a low mileage crate 350 vortec (1998 or 1999 vintage).  I recently picked up a pair of 2002 Sierra seats with the integral shoulder belts.  Lots left to be done to make a driver but reading the posts here have given ideas and inspiration.  I have many questions coming so please be patient.

Here is a shot of a great day last Fall.  The cab met the chassis for the first time.  I couldn't stop looking at it and smiling.  The second picture is my eventual goal.

I was at the wreckers to buy a new computer and spotted the seats in the same truck.  They are both powered and in great shape.  I figure the space between them will be around 4 inches at best but at least the lap and shoulder belt issues will be resolved.  No room for a console so I might just put the hand brake there.  Some reinforcing plates under the floor where they mount should do the trick. 

I just started setting up yesterday to begin making the cab mounts.  I came across some great and detailed drawings from a fellow who goes by the username "Hussey" on another forum where the same truck was built.  Some great reading and the details are terrific.  I'm pretty much following his directions for mine.

I only found that one picture with no link or any other information.  I would also like to know what rims they are.  They really look good.
