Kijiji annoying calls

Getting all sorts of PRANK calls & obviously got my my # & my friends # off car add. Computer generated "taped" call saying I'd hit his car & left # on w/shield, my daughter kicked his dog, Vet bill high, found his cat, calls are from different # in a matter of minutes from all over the GTA & the 613  Brian is getting them too. Tried a AIR HORN into phone & that's when I figured out it's a tape & stops when you speak then starts again continuing the call. I just hang up now when I know it's them but somehow they are tapping these phone #'s????  at end of one it said" you've been had by ? .com couldn't make it out!!!!

Use common sense and don't put your phone number in a public site, especially Kijiji. What else did you expect would happen?

I'd say it's pretty obvious they got your number from the note you left on their car.

 Where do you read he left a note on someones car? OP claims they got his number from a car ad.

Just had a call that showed up as my friend's # but it was the "hackers" so assume their using my # too!!! Never had this happen before with other ads, always had a serious buyer phone & idiots on email from KIJIJI

Whoever you have your phone with, should be notified. That's where your first complaint should go. If they are now using your, or your friends number to make the calls, it's going to look like your the culprit doing this to the next victim. Guess who they will come after? Are there charges being racked up against your phone account that you haven't seen yet? I'd be getting a hold of your phone carrier and nip this at the bud.

I have adds on KIJIJI very frequently for machines and tools. I never post a number and never any problems.

By the way Pete, my wife suggested you could benefit from a darker, more dramatic colour on your walls in the front foyer.  Oh yeah, you're almost out of toilet paper on the main floor and you're two beers short in the fridge  hmm

I buy and sell frequently on Kijiji and have never had a problem as well.  I too never post my phone number in my ads.  Someone wants to contact regarding, email works just fine thanks.

If they can hack the FBI, CIA, WH, NASA, Miley Cyrus or any government service I guess they can hack KIJIJI. Nothing is untouchable anymore.

Called my cell ph. provider, nothing they can do other than charge me $ 35 to change my #. Filled a complaint with CRTC on line & may call them & speak to a real person there if possible.

They want to hack the NSA because they are the one's hacking you .  A FISA court warrant has a Two step rule and allows the use of corporations. so say they want to investigate  JOE Blow  they name say Google as the first  step ...... that opens up about a billon people for the second . Not to worry these people would never lie and rally want to protect us regular folks.

Based on my experience, it can't be coming from Kijiji.  No one ever responds to a Kijiji ad by phone.  If it was an annoying text message or e-mail mabey?

Had a call from Santiago California # [doubt it] left a voicemail saying "Id been had by "comedy calls .com" girlfriend checked out web site without going into it, Pages & pages of prank calls taped!!! Called CRTC, can't do anything, Canada do not call list, same answer, Police Nothing

Called my server "AGAIN" said they are swamped with complaints against this web site & working on blocking or even taking them to court !!!! My friend got a call on his cell phone from his home #!!! sitting in his house looking at land line????

I stay off Kijiji and never answer a number I don't know on cell or house phone .
