www.mecum.com/

when posting a link don't include the https://

either don't type it or if using "copy/paste" simply don't highlight it when you copy the info to post it

IE- start the highlighting in the space after //

so if your title is ,  https://123dfgertys   then you only copy "123dfgertys" , then hit "paste"

www.mecum.com/lots/FL0120-397388/1968-ford-mustang-gt-bullitt/

personally I'd like to "see" someone verify the original add placement in the local paper (I'd presume) from the local archives at the library where the "for sale bullitt mustang" add was originally printed

yeah .. you'll have to show me that original dated newspaper for sale add BEFORE I believe a single word of the story

ESPECIALLY AS , WE , most of us here would have been sharp enough as kids to recognize THAT car and make note of the odd things welded to it

if that were your teacher's car in the school lot.. you'ld remember it ... RIGHT guys?

Bullitt Mustang

Bud Ekins, who drove the Mustang, also did the motorcycle jump for Steve McQueen

Wasn't the second Mustang found down in Mexico a while back?

A quick search......

We have our 'Vert's Insured with Hagerty and as such receive their bi-monthly mag. In the beginning it wasn't much but as time went on it really improved. Very interesting pieces on a wide variety of automobilia.
January/February 2018 had a great article on the Bullitt Mustang driven by McQueen.
It also has columns by Jay Leno, Wayne Carini, Colin Comer and others.
