Power went out shortly after the wind arrived. Seemed sudden with considerable force. A couple of big branches down right away. Pretty close to wife's car. Couple big trees down near by. Power just came back about 7PM. The wind lifted the roof off my garden shed then demolished the remains.
Power went out at my place in Fort Erie at 4:45 and came back 4 hours later. Dinner wasn,t great. No damage here although a few large branches down in the park across the street.

Wind snapped of a couple of near dead trees in the bush behind my driveway...not hurting anything, but one hit and is against another tree. Might have to help it down the rest of the way.
We live in the country outside of Mount Forest. We have had so many outages over the last 10 yrs that we were told we should by a propane generator as a backup when we moved here. Glad we did!!!
I've been cutting up big limbs with a bow saw here for days. I put a chain saw blade on it and it works great but still hard work. Storm brought down another big limb 2 days ago. Taking them down and cutting them up as fast as I can to prep for a hard winter. I think the house is safe now. I'm getting too old for this but I guess it keeps me fit. Chain saws are for kids.
We finally got power back on Tuesday its been on an off since the wind. It knocked
down lots of power poles and lines. Took out about 10 in a row a little west of us on
a main road. Finally got our phone and internet back as well. Big thanks to the outside
workers for being there when we need them. Ed
