Skip to 1:30 and crank it up. Guy is conducting an orchestra. Feel the power when he switches over to Nitro. Wish there was Smell O Vision. Lots of cool car vids on the main page to pass the Winter Mths ahead. Enjoy

I remember the first time we took our kids to see some Fuelers. Our youngest guy was sitting a few rows in front of us when one of them popped a blower. Everyone around him hit the deck, he turned around to me and yelled " COOL", lol.
In a life just before covid I went to an NHRA event for the first time. That was the most amazing experience ever. Getting to walk through the pits getting pictures taken with the stars of top fuel rides, watching them warm up the cars, the smell of nitro, the burning in the eyes. Watching the guys and gals work on the cars. And the racing, watching, feeling the power of those cars on the track was something else. I have no way of describing it to be able to compare it to something else. NASCAR could use a lesson from them by allowing people to walk through the pits, meeting with the drivers and crew chiefs, etc. If you ever have a chance I would encourage you to go to one of these events.
Took my high school shop class to Sparta in the late 90's to see John Force have a grudge match. We were allowed to stand in the staging area as they rev'd up - when they left the line our lungs couldn't expand against the horrendous sound waves coming from the exhaust let alone hear anything else - 'Thunder in the Valley'. The leaves in the trees nearby thought they were in a hurricane. In 2 - 3 seconds it was quiet again as the funny cars were 1/2 way down the track. One amazing experience for those teenagers that day!
We drove all the way to Englishtown NJ (10 hours) for a points event with our Super Comp dragster...Red lit with a .399 first round turned around and 10 hours back home. Great time spending the nights in the pits made it all worth while.
