Retirement and downsizing vehicles .

Hey all were 63 and 70 years now . Have a 2016 ram eco diesel 1500 and a 2017 ford escape . Thinking to downsize to one vehicle . Not something new . maybe up to 150 kilos would be ok . Were putting about 10 k on each one a years driving . Need awd , some ground clearance for hunt camp roads , single track trails , no real 4x4 ing . Must be able to haul our utility trailer and our rzr 900 .

jeep compass wrangler 4 door maverick hyundai sante fe truck . Ford edge

Anybody out there find / using a smaller suv thats not a total pos ? So many horror stories out there . I dont mind some maintenance repairs but man it sounds like every manufacturer is having engine transmission failures

Downsizing !!!!!!!!!!! I just bought a 1930 Ford A touring all restored 3 weeks ago.
All things aside I wish I was 70 and I am selling off equipment in my shop the past year. Right now I have a milling machine, 40 ton ironworker 12 in combination sander and a drill press for sale. Selling it off slowly still going to sell a radial drill Harrison lathe and a lot more other stuff. Retiring from working in the shop.

Wow, me too! I've been selling off a lot of woodworking tools, downsizing and making a few dollars along the way. Feeling good about it too. I'm 67 years old, and figured it was time to unburden myself of some of my equipment that I don't plan on using anymore. Then guess what? Along comes my next door neighbor with a deal of the century for me. A 1995 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham with only 50k on her, the 350 vette LT1 in her, in absolute mint condition!! Had to have her, so I'm now selling off a 1976 Olds Custom Cruiser to make up for it. Just when you think you can downsize, wham!! Oh well, thats life for you. I can't and won't complain, it is our hobby after all, and I am fortunate to have a totally understanding wife. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!! Looking forward to spring.

I'm downsizing but not giving up at 80. Been doing this stuff since I was 12. Done with frame off restorations ; painting ,engine swaps etc. but still have most of my equipment. In the last 4 years I've sold my 59 El Camino; 32 Ford 5 window highboy ; 1951 Mercury and my 1940 Ford coupe that I had 49 years. BUT i still have my 1958 Impala and 1947 Ford Kustom plus I look every day for something that I must have. Completed cars. Not quite dead yet L.O.L.
