my son has a 56 Chevy 6 cyl. With 3 speed. It has an O/D and the solenoid has burned out. so looking for a replacement. Think the units are pretty universal. If not, he thinks it is a T85N gearbox. failing that, some highway gears would get us by for the moment, it has tall gears in it at present, we think 4:10'...
