You know for somebody that was claiming that he never built a rod before and just worked on "jap" cars ......it's lookin pretty damn good. I think you are BSing us and you've done this before..good on ya Dave.
was thinking of a matt brown for the body. Hammered brown for the frame and block, and maybe have some chrome here and there. Front shocks are chrome, so maybe have the rear lights brackets in chrome to even it out.
Tremclad has an off-the-shelf colour titled something like "leather brown" in a flat. A full gallon jug was something like $45 bucks. No custom tinting needed. They also sell hammer-tone paint too. Might be worth looking into when it comes time for a squirt.
Thanks Chuck. I'm determined to fit a shallow tank, as I like the clean look of the back. But hey, I still need to find space for a battery and a couple of humans, so it's still an option.
I was gonna say something about freezing your azz off in the garage this past winter, and I guess it goes without saying, but...... you got it all backwards mate!

I had never planned to have the rod on the road this year, as we were pretty low on funds for the first year of our immigration, but things are looking up now. The plan is to work on it from October through to spring, and hopefully hit the road next summer
When I first got here I was in such a big hurry, trying to make up for lost time, but now I realise there's no rush, and simply having a cool project in my garage is enough to keep me happy for now.
I must admit though, I was insanely jealous when Andrew dropped by the other night in his extremely cool low rider ford (Gangrene).
