Then Bruce Larson used it for a year.

 Next was Richie Zul

Then in 1974 Richie up-dated the front and rear sheet metal (fiberglass)

Dennis Ferarra was the next owner.

Next Ferarra added fiberglass doors and took out weight so he could run a small inch BB Chev in B/EA

It was a tough looking car the last time I saw it in 1977.

Wonder what ever became of Joe Tryson, Grumps foreman, he was with Grump for a LONG time? Bet Tryson could write an interesting history about Bill Jenkins. He must have witnessed some amazing builds, and knew most all of jenkins engine info/secrets.
RIP Bill Jenkins, you would have been a great guy to apprentice under!!

Who's driving ?   From my memory Pro 100 was Jenkins, Pro 101 was Dave Strickler, Pro 1100 was larry Lombardo, Pro 1005 was Ken Dondero.   That was at legal races unless they had a top 10 number from the year before championship  .   I was at Cayuga one time and saw all 3 run the car 1 run . I don't know if they were trying something new or ???

What a great guy!! Read that Grump had a record of making 250 straight runs, and never missed a gear.!

Interesting couple of pictures above for the (I think) Russell and Rice team going from their huge wheel standing B/A to AA/FA in the next sequence of shots. It appears to me that it may be the same chassis but maybe not.

How much time did Grumpy actually spend resting his weary head in Linda's cleavage??? LOL. My hero.

Keep them coming winter is getting shorter already. Thanks.

That 57 Ford belongs to John Fiester(sp) from near Indianapolis, and runs a factory type of supercharger, and think runs in the 11s

1964 Ford 352 4 speed in SS/N  …..  11.99 .  I saw one in 1978 and couldn't believe the power they were getting out of the lowly 352.

Poor 58, I cry when I see them rust away like that.

Nice Tall T. I believe I know the owner of that one, lives in Burlington.

This thread just keeps getting better and better. Thanks to all the contributors.

Sorry for the Hijack and might sound like an odd question but.. Hey Rob P. did you ever get run over on the starting line at Cayuga by a front engine dragster?
If Yes...it wasn't me...lol
