Wonder what ever became of Joe Tryson, Grumps foreman, he was with Grump for a LONG time? Bet Tryson could write an interesting history about Bill Jenkins. He must have witnessed some amazing builds, and knew most all of jenkins engine info/secrets.
RIP Bill Jenkins, you would have been a great guy to apprentice under!!
Who's driving ? From my memory Pro 100 was Jenkins, Pro 101 was Dave Strickler, Pro 1100 was larry Lombardo, Pro 1005 was Ken Dondero. That was at legal races unless they had a top 10 number from the year before championship . I was at Cayuga one time and saw all 3 run the car 1 run . I don't know if they were trying something new or ???
Interesting couple of pictures above for the (I think) Russell and Rice team going from their huge wheel standing B/A to AA/FA in the next sequence of shots. It appears to me that it may be the same chassis but maybe not.
How much time did Grumpy actually spend resting his weary head in Linda's cleavage??? LOL. My hero.
Keep them coming winter is getting shorter already. Thanks.
First pic i have seen of Buck Kinneys car for some time. Love that 65 Chevelle SS/MA.
Those Blower explosions are awesomely destructfull! Great pics, some i have never seen before. (That is one sweet 57 Ford!)
This thread just keeps getting better and better. Thanks to all the contributors.
Sorry for the Hijack and might sound like an odd question but.. Hey Rob P. did you ever get run over on the starting line at Cayuga by a front engine dragster? If Yes...it wasn't me...lol
