I just saw another ChrisFix video (great guy for people learning maintenance and stuff). This vid was about how to read the sidewall for the age of a tire. So now I know how to tell how old a tire is and I'm guessing before I even go out to the garage, my tires are old. ChrisFix said don't buy tires older than...

Making the fingers took a while. My brother-in-law was throwing out some old stair railing so it was fun putting it to use. Still have to touch up and polish it a bit but I think I'll ghet a lot of use out of it. Yiup, sloppy welds but this helped me practice.

Chris Stapley was kind enough to give me a small section of railway steel and 3 burned out angle grinders later, I made this. It was fun to make but took a while. Still waiting for my 7" Makita to come back from the shop. I guess I have to lighten my touch a bit. Glad I made it and thank you Chris.

After looking for way too long, I finally found a new shop. Going from 720 sq/ft to 2100 sq/ft is going to be a treat. Except for heating of course. Nothings perfect.Oh, there a house on the property too, which my wife will allow me to live in when I'm good.
Remember these gas pedals? Well they made a small one as well, for the dimmer switch on the floor way back then too. I know I can get one from Speedway for $40 w/shipping and stuff. But it seems a bit much. Does anyone have one they would part with for cheap? The dimmer switch one is about...

So here is the all to familiar scenario. I just got my suburban back after a couple years at a friends getting some work done. I realized there was a lot more to be done and perhaps a decision had to be made. I decided that I would never get to the 27 Chev RP and 3 rides was really not practical anymore so here go...
It's Christmas and I just acquired this 1931 Ford Model A roadster Pickup. It is a driver, but I have lots of plans even though it will remain a four banger. It is currently in Edmonton and I haven't figured out how it is going to get here. I have several options, hire an enclosed transport, load it at so...
I recently bought a 2010 Silverado 2wd and it has a clunk that I can't figure out where it is coming from. I always thought it was the strut extending and the spring making the clunk. At first I had the ball joints checked , replaced the sway bar links and then replaced the struts... My wife says she can fee...
I believe the term is running rich. I am getting really poor gas mileage and I just cruise. But it runs smooth and sounds fine. What can I do to improve my mileage ?

My brother in law ordered a new Colorado. I'd mentioned a year or so ago if he ever wanted to sell his current truck to let me know. He let me know. It has 106,000 klm. Interesting or just frustrating ? I needed 4 more 8 foot 4 x 4s to finish my deck. Have you ever seen someone trying to load four 8 foot 4 x 4s into a Honda Fit ? Oh I got them in but I got a lot of amused stares from other customers in the Home Depot lot as I loaded them. I even got the back hatch closed but it was a...
