Hi all. I am on the hunt for a 1955 or 1956 Ford Fairlaine or Meteor, or even a Crown Victoria 2 dr ht car Might consider a 2 dr wagon as well. I might look at a 2 dr sedan if it is already built as a gasser, but is definitley not my first choice. Looking for a driver or a project, as i want to build a bucket list...
So here is the all to familiar scenario. I just got my suburban back after a couple years at a friends getting some work done. I realized there was a lot more to be done and perhaps a decision had to be made. I decided that I would never get to the 27 Chev RP and 3 rides was really not practical anymore so here go...
It's Christmas and I just acquired this 1931 Ford Model A roadster Pickup. It is a driver, but I have lots of plans even though it will remain a four banger. It is currently in Edmonton and I haven't figured out how it is going to get here. I have several options, hire an enclosed transport, load it at so...
I recently bought a 2010 Silverado 2wd and it has a clunk that I can't figure out where it is coming from. I always thought it was the strut extending and the spring making the clunk. At first I had the ball joints checked , replaced the sway bar links and then replaced the struts... My wife says she can fee...
I believe the term is running rich. I am getting really poor gas mileage and I just cruise. But it runs smooth and sounds fine. What can I do to improve my mileage ?
My wife started what she called " Small Town Christmas Tree lighting" 3 years ago as a way to draw our Community together ( post Covid), to raise funds for Hospice Niagara and McNally House ( Hospice in Grimsby On) and to collect non-perishable goods for Community Care. Our kids and their spouses are a...
Maybe I am forgetting something again but if I convert my generator from 6 volt to 12 volt, I think I have to find a new starter also - maybe. At least according to this video, I do - Who sells 12 volt starters for a 42 Ford flathead ? (probably an...

Next was a speed shop jacket for me... Charity Tiki panel for the 2023 Detroit Autorama... Charity piece for...
My brother in law ordered a new Colorado. I'd mentioned a year or so ago if he ever wanted to sell his current truck to let me know. He let me know. It has 106,000 klm. Needs a rear bumper and some love around the box eyebrows but aside from that she's alright. He'd backed into something so yesterday I tugged...

I am on the hunt for a 200r4 transmission Must have either the GM bolt pattern or the universal bell that fits all bop/gm motors. Can be a core but would prefer a good driver quality. -- Edited by Seeker1056 on Sunday 12th of November 2023 06:14:10 PM

Interesting or just frustrating ? I needed 4 more 8 foot 4 x 4s to finish my deck. Have you ever seen someone trying to load four 8 foot 4 x 4s into a Honda Fit ? Oh I got them in but I got a lot of amused stares from other customers in the Home Depot lot as I loaded them. I even got the back hatch closed but it was a...
I have dealt with 4 Krown outlets todate and our experience today in Port Hope was the best. The offices are usually filthy and cramped with nowhere close by to wait like a restaurant. But today we went to the Port Hope Krown and the office is clean and spacious and a TV and chairs (plural -that's a first t...

I got a quote from UPS for shipping but not a written quote. UPS won't provide one until I actually ship because I was told shipping costs change so ra...

So I look out the shop window and thought I had bin transported back in time to the 60s in England. There were probably 10 to 15 all together Only thing missing for these Mods was the Rockers. What a fun thing to see on an otherwise dull day. Where is Austin Powers when you need him. Ed

Well there were a lot of rides and the weather was great. It clouded over a bit later in the afternoon but not enough to ruin the day. It was packed. It was a nice show to end the season.
I picked up a 41 Chrysler about 4-1/2 years ago. I didn't like the front end so I figured I'd simply change the headlights and take the point off the front. How hard could it be? I started by cutting some fender away and setting a 37 Ford headlight bezel in the hole. This is when the %#$# hit the fan.
Does a generator charge a battery ? I bought a new battery this spring and it's dead. I understand alternators charge batteries but why isn't my battery charging ? I'm tired of buying batteries !
Hi all. After being prodded to do so in my other post - here is my latest build. A 1973 AMX Javelin - was originally a 401 4spd car when it was born. I bought it as a roller out of Quebec as a drag car. Bought it sight unseen because it was so far away, and scarce to boot. Got it home and just about everything need...
I am in need of a pair of struts that can hold up the very heavy rear hatch on my 77 Ventura. I have tried my local Parts Source,CTC,NAPA but no luck . Just wondering if any one has any ideas. The old hockey stick prop I am using makes me a little nervous when unloading. Ed
Hey y'all. We're replacing the front end ( stock) on the Comet - then the Falcon. We ordered a pot full of stuff from across the river and everything was alright except the tie-rod ends. The ones they stock/sent look like they belong on an import, much too small. We'll gladly accept any suggestions from...
Sorry to post that I must cancel this year's meet. Future meets are not looking promising either. The ol back can't take much abuse anymore. I appreciate all those that have attended over the years.
Does anyone here have any experience with label makers ? I plan to rewire my whole damn car and I'm guessing some label makers are better suited to the task than others. Do they take different sized heat shrink ? Do they run out of ink fast ? Just wondered if anyone knows what brand works best. Not buying a...

I took the rod for a short spin to Keene and back. I haven't had it out for over a month and the weather is so nice. Anyway, the point is, nothing broke, nothing leaked, nothing popped open, nothing overheated. It all went well. I don't know if I can get used to this. And it was a beautiful sunny day. I must be...
They noted that 90% of all of the contamination passed through an air filter happens in the first 10% of the life cycle. Changing a filter more often than necessary is a waste fiscally and detrimental to the equipment.
a little off topic from filters but, lmao i am looking for a good used h-d tike if anyone happens to stumble into one. the ideal one would be something in reasonably good shape with a blown evo motor as i have a good spare motor from my s&s conversion on my 95. evo motors ran from the mid 80's till 99. ...
