I just wanted to put this out there to see what everyone thinks. I usually change my own oil and for my whole life, I have used nothing but Fram oil filters and I have never had an issue. Now I understand, from youtube I think, that Fram is probably the worst filter on the market. Just wondering what everyon...
I often need to cut or bend material in a horizontal vice but the traditional style of vice doesn’t work well that way. To bulky and heavy to maneuver I think. But this vice is perfect. I hadn’t seen a vice like this since high school shop class. And it looks like that is where it came from. Anyway, I st...

Last week I went to Peterborough Automotive to get paint. The gentleman there brought out a colour sample catalogue to colour match and after about 15 minutes suggested I go to NAPA. He said they might have an exact match there. So I went and was told that the guy who did paint was on a call and I should c...

I have a 42 Ford pickup with a mount for the spare tire on the side but the holes in the rim don't line up with the holes in the mount. I thought there must be a bracket missing but the previous owner said there isn't. I don't know how to mount the spare rim and I can't find a video on youtube for a truck this old....

Initially I thought the best part of this hobby would be when I finally got my first hot rod on the road. But I was wrong. I later learned that the build was a lot more fun than expected so perhaps the road wasn't best part part. But again, I was mistaken. Then I learned that turning a wrench with the wonder...

I was having trouble getting my Strombergs set. There is a small hole in the primary arm for the set screw to hit the small hole in the brass rod that controls fuel flow in the primary carburetor. The problem I'm having is that if I use that setting, my primary arm doesn't sit at 45 degrees. It sits almos...

Looks like it stores away easy when done. So if anyone needs to make one, here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2iFVW753...

Through a very good friend, I just discovered a new source for the best prices on tires and they deliver them to your door, so he tells me. The site is called Quattro. I just thought people might want to know about it. Good luck.

After purchasing my first mig welder ( Lincoln 140) I discovered that I needed a weld shield. I checked online and the ones worth buying don't come cheap. So I took a design I saw in Google images and made one that anyone can for much less using strong thread or fishing line, grommets, a sheet of thick pl...
