I thought I would post something here as it seems a guy only comes to lurk here all the time. So here are a couple pictures of a project I am doing eith my son who is 16. It was a prety rough car but we have been slowly working at it and plan on having it done for summer this year. We started last May and have a bun...
Ok, I figured it's about time I started post for my 1959 Edsel Ranger 2 door HT. I guess I'll start from the beginning . I've always loved Edsel's since I was a kid. The first one I ever saw was in a museum. Anyways, back in march 2013 I found one. total wreck, but for what it was, it is worth fixing up to me. I got...
i sold my bel air a few months ago and I saw this forsale for a good price so I picked it up. 305 with a three speed auto, fuel pump was bad so I changed it, I think the carb needs a cleaning. needs a drivers side floor as well
i don't know if the whole fender is salvageable as i think some metal is stretched. i was very fortunate to find a nice southern replacement and didn't need to try and use it. this has no rust issues at all and would make a great patch panel donor. 50.00 or something wall art OR a large case of beer.
This question might have been asked before but I'll ask it now....Does anyone know a good soda blaster in Ontario that can be trusted with sheetmetal ? I'm in the Haliburton area but there is nothing up here.I know one person that took his car to get soda-blasted and they used sand instead and warped the...

....assuming you are retired , of course . I've been retired for just over a year now ....just turned 70 . Nobody really prepares us for retirement , atleast I wasn't . Parents are usually long gone to discuss it with . The reasons for retirement vary : 1. Company Policy once you turn 65 . 2. Illness or ph...
Here ya go fellas....... Oldguy always wants to know what's happening in the shop. LOL 69ss454 has posted and reminded me of every time I posted "it will get done" LOL And.......most recently Grumps has had to give me the motivational speech about Chirping birds or something like that!...
I have a '68 GMC 910. Bought it about fifteen years ago and has been a rolling project. I've done a few upgrades but for the most part it has been a good running and driving truck. Last year I got it into my head that I was going to sell it and focus on another project. But first it needed a little help. This is ho...
true story so today I call ON3 turbochargers in Ohio Ask about prices on various parts and shipping and doin the sales pitch on better pricing due to our dollar difference - guy says to me - what does it matter about your dollar difference - you Canadians make three times what us average Americans do I d...
Just a quick question that isn't car related. I've had a TV antenna for the last 20 years and have loved not having to pay cable bills. That being said, just recently (roughly around the start of the new year) I've been unable to get any of the "29" channels (29-1,29-2. and 29-3). Based on o...
anyways I want to be more active on here so the guy who got me to join this site is building a rare gmc truck, heres a pic he texted me. he says it will be on the road in a week, I think hes insane, he agrees
Just moved to the area. Looking forward to driving the back roads. I hear they may be building a NASCAR track in Fort Erie. Will it get approval? Grew up going to Dragway Park in Cayuga. Why did they change that historic name? See you at the tracks.
Hi, my name is Scott and I'm addicted to cars. I've got a 68 vert Firebird and 08 Wrangler. I should be working on my late grandfather's 86 C10 but haven't been. I need to start working on my son's 74 TA or it won't be ready to drive in 6 years (it takes me a long time to get anything finished). And I will admit th...
I 've seen these meters shown in magazines -- Is it just a matter of installing an O2 sensor in header and connecting it to the guage ?? Somehow it all sounds too simple -- But , I have zero knowledge of these things -- Would enjoy some pointers --- THANKS in Advance -- DON / Fleet 51

I built my bead roller about 8 years ago. (Sorry no build pics for it) but always wanted to power it as my wife didn't always smile when I asked to come to the shop at 10:30 pm to crank the handle. Couldn't figure a cheap way to do it until Chris Stapley showed how he did his. A 1/2" reversible drill, a st...
I was looking in my Library for some old mags I based much of the Supernash build on many moons ago. I came across a Super Stock and Drag Illustrated from August 1967. They were testing the new 1966 442Ram Air car. There's 6 pages of a Hemi Blueprint building I found interesting. It was a thing put on by Chry...
I bought an RCA model DT140M powered splitter and when I put it in line it does not work either power or not. Going on line has not been of any help, even the RCA site. Has anyone used this splitter and could help me?
Has this courtesy died? Drove past a radar set up the other day and luckily was doing the limit. For the next mile or two I flashed oncoming traffic to let them know. I returned back down the same road an hour later and must have passed 20 cars going the other way and not one of them flashed to say there was a tr...
I can't use these because I have valve cover spacers due to roller rockers. Both sets are new. The Southern Rods set may need a couple of spacers but that's easy to do. The Billet Speciaties bracket is $189.00 at Hortons (maybe more now due to the dollar difference) and I'll sell it for $80.00. I'd like $8...

Hi boys and girls, we have a new build coming up that I'd like to share!A good friend and long time supporter has asked me to design and build him a custom roadster - from the ground up.He’s loves the simplicity of the traditional '32 Ford styling, but also wants a more ‘road race’ feel incorporated into...
